Who We Are
Hi, I’m Ben and I operate Ivesons Decorating in Rochdale, offering superior interior and exterior painting and decorating services at affordable prices.
I first began painting professionally over 10 years ago for my Uncle (who has over 40 years experience himself) and we continue to collaborate on projects to this day.
I’ve also worked for large commericial painters and decorators on huge projects such as theatres and commercial premises – it’s given me invaluable experience which I can now bring to your home or business.
That’s my family name on the logo: ‘Ivesons of Rochdale’ has a heritage in my hometown, having operated a home interiors shop throughout most of the Twentieth Century. My Father, Mark Iveson, has also fitted blinds and curtains around Rochdale for the last 15 years, so interior design really is in my blood.
I now proudly serve the same town of Rochdale with my own bespoke painting and decorating services.
Customer satisfaction is the most important thing to me, and that is reflected in focus and commitment to each and every project I undertake.

Over a decade in painting and decorating has given me a lot of time to assess the standards of work in my industry and sadly not everything I have seen has put a smile on my face.
When I started Ivesons Decorating, I wanted to ensure I create a more bespoke, premium interior and exterior decorating service that delivered a higher quality than many in my trade.
That’s why I commited to Care, Quality and Expertise in my work.
Care
Every job I work on receives the same: expert care including putting down proper protections such as dust sheets and roll'n'stroll to protect carpets and soft furnishings.
Quality
I will always suggest using higher quality paints and papers. Cutting corners by using cheaper emulsions often results in poor quality outcomes meaning you have to repaint.
Expertise
I don't subcontract full jobs. Instead, I attend every single project I undertake to ensure I bring my decades long expertise to each and every project without exception.
Where We Work
Ivesons Decorating is based in Rochdale and while I love to serve my hometown, I operate my painting and decorating services all over Greater Manchester and beyond.
I keep my reliable van fully stocked with painting and papering gear and attend new projects personally to deliver a bespoke service and accurate quotations.

Where did you learn to paint and decorate?
My first painting jobs were undertaken when I was still at School, working for my Uncle who is an extremely experienced painter and decorator. Under his watchful eye I quickly developed an eye for detail and a passion for quality. After university, I returned to working for my Uncle full time and I owe a huge amount of my skill and knowledge to the way he taught me.
After that I worked for several years at a larger commercial painting firm where I learned to undertake and manage much larger projects like theatres.
Since then, I have taken steps to formalise my qualifications such as Dulux wallpapering courses.
How can I pay for your services?
Once we had agreed a price, intended start date and timescale I will normally ask for a deposit in order for you to secure the work.
After that, the full balance will become payable on completion of the agreed work.
